ATA Spec 105Guidelines for Training and Qualifying Personnel in Nondestructive Testing Methods
Abstract
ATA Spec 105 serves as a guideline for the development of a training program for personnel who accomplish Nondestructive Testing (NDT) tasks. While partially derived from more universal training standards, such as ASNT SNT-TC-1A and NAS 410, this document describes an approach for preparing a curriculum for an airline's NDT maintenance training program and for qualifying individuals to conduct aircraft inspections. Among the changes in the 2017.1 are several nondestructive program definitions which are included to align the Spec more closely to the NAS-410 document.
