ATA Spec 2000 ch17Electronic Logbook (Ch. 17)
Abstract
This specification provides an industry standard for modeling electronic logbook (ELB) data as well as a set of methods for exchanging the ELB object data among computing systems, for example from an e-Logbook system to a maintenance IT system. The intent of the specification is to reduce the total cost of implementing integrated solutions within an airline from multiple software providers without imposing or requiring a specific implementation. Key updates in this revision include: ? Updates to improve replacement part information ? Updates to Expiration types ? Updates to better support Aircraft and Component Utilization ? Joins between Flight Log and Fuel Record ? Updates to MaintActionType to better support recording of on wing repair ? Updates to several elements and attributes to better support interoperability with new Electronic Work Package specification ? Several other minor changes .
